    Fried chicken sandwich, Grana Padano and herbs creamy spread, cabbage and gherkins

    • 2 burger buns
    • 2 slices chicken breast
    • 200 g corn flakes
    • 1 egg
    • flour as needed
    • 100 g cabbage
    • 2 gherkins
    • oil for frying
    • pepper
    • extra virgin olive oil
    • salt

    • For the creamy spread:
    • 200 ml milk
    • 180 g Grana Padano (grated)
    • 1 sprig of thyme
    • 1 sprig of marjoram
    • 1 sprig of dill


    STEP 1

    To make the creamy spread, in a small saucepan heat the milk on medium heat and add the grated Grana Padano. Stir well and add the finely chopped herbs and pepper to taste. Set aside.

    STEP 2

    To prepare the fried chicken, first coat the chicken in the flour, then into the beaten eggs and lastly in the crushed cornflakes. Fry in plenty of oil until golden. Add salt to taste.

    STEP 3

    Cut the cabbage into fine strips and season with extra virgin olive oil and salt and pepper.

    STEP 4

    Spread the creamy Grana Padano on the halved buns, add the chicken, cabbage, and gherkins. Serve immediately.
