Beef burgers with Grana Padano, caramelised onion and lettuce

Ingredients

400 g minced beef 
100 g Grana Padano 
1 tbsp mild mustard 
2  red onions 
2 tomatoes 
4 soft sesame seed buns 
2 tsp Pickled capers 
Lettuce 
Parsley 
Extra virgin olive oil 
Sugar 
Salt 
Pepper

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine the minced beef and 50 g of grated Grana Padano, the mustard, capers, chopped parsley, season with salt and pepper, and mix well. 
With the help of a round pastry cutter, make 4 burgers and put them aside. 
Slice the onions into rings and cook them in a non-stick pan with a drizzle of olive oil, the sugar, salt and pepper, and a small ladleful of warm water. Cover the pan with a lid and cook the onions until soft and caramelised. 
Put the onions aside and use the same pan with a drizzle of olive oil to cook the burgers for 6-7 minutes on each side, season with salt and pepper to taste. 
On each halved bun, put a few leaves of lettuce, a slice of tomato, a burger (still warm), caramelised onions, shavings of Grana Padano and serve immediately.
