    Beef burgers with Grana Padano, caramelised onion and lettuce

    • 400 g minced beef
    • 100 g Grana Padano
    • 1 tbsp mild mustard
    • 2 red onions
    • 2 tomatoes
    • 4 soft sesame seed buns
    • 2 tsp Pickled capers
    • Lettuce
    • Parsley
    • Extra virgin olive oil
    • Sugar
    • Salt
    • Pepper


    STEP 1

    In a mixing bowl, combine the minced beef and 50 g of grated Grana Padano, the mustard, capers, chopped parsley, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.

    STEP 2

    With the help of a round pastry cutter, make 4 burgers and put them aside.
    Slice the onions into rings and cook them in a non-stick pan with a drizzle of olive oil, the sugar, salt and pepper, and a small ladleful of warm water.

    STEP 3

    Cover the pan with a lid and cook the onions until soft and caramelised.
    Put the onions aside and use the same pan with a drizzle of olive oil to cook the burgers for 6-7 minutes on each side, season with salt and pepper to taste.
    On each halved bun, put a few leaves of lettuce, a slice of tomato, a burger (still warm), caramelised onions, shavings of Grana Padano and serve immediately.
