Berni: “Our presence in New York confirms a growth path built on quality, safety, and the tradition of the world’s most widely consumed PDO cheese.”
Desenzano del Garda (Brescia), June 25, 2026 – Grana Padano PDO returns to New York for the 2026 Summer Fancy Food Show, the leading U.S. trade event dedicated to premium food and beverage products, taking place from June 28 to 30 at the Javits Center.
Following the success of the 2025 edition, the Grana Padano Protection Consortium is renewing its presence in the United States with a project that combines promotion, immersive experiences, and a contemporary narrative around the world’s most widely consumed PDO cheese. At the heart of the initiative are the values that drive the Consortium’s communication: certified quality, food safety, tradition, versatility, and a vision of everyday wellness that positions Grana Padano PDO as an ingredient that fits naturally into people’s lives, eating habits, and evolving consumer lifestyles.
“The United States has always been a strategic market for Grana Padano PDO, and the Summer Fancy Food Show provides an outstanding opportunity to engage with industry professionals, media, and consumers from around the world,” said Stefano Berni, General Manager of the Grana Padano Protection Consortium. “Our presence in New York reflects a growth strategy built on the quality, safety, and tradition of the world’s most widely consumed PDO cheese, while also demonstrating our ability to respond to changing consumer preferences. Together with GialloZafferano and with the contribution of nutritionist Cassandra Lepore, we want to present Grana Padano as a delicious, versatile product that fits perfectly into a balanced diet—an Italian excellence capable of bringing flavor, wellness, and enjoyment to tables around the world.”
The Consortium’s partnership with GialloZafferano will continue in 2026, bringing a full program of live cooking demonstrations featuring creators and culinary talents who will showcase Grana Padano PDO in simple, creative recipes tailored to the tastes of the American audience. New this year is the participation of nutritionist Cassandra Lepore, who will complement each demonstration with insights into the nutritional benefits of the recipes, pairing suggestions, and the role of Grana Padano PDO in a balanced, accessible, and contemporary approach to cooking.
“We are building the home of Italian cuisine in America, where high-quality content meets the credibility of our culinary talents, and Grana Padano has been the partner that believed in this vision from day one, helping strengthen its overall value,” said Gabriele Colasanto, CEO of GialloZafferano USA Inc. “Three years of strategic collaboration at the Fancy Food Show have taught us that American audiences are not looking for a lesson about Italy—they want to make Italy part of their lifestyle. Thanks to its versatility and strong brand recognition, Grana Padano is the key ingredient that makes this transition both natural and immediate.”
Throughout the three-day event, the Grana Padano booth will host a rich program designed to showcase the PDO cheese in a fresh, summery, and convivial setting, featuring live cooking demonstrations, tastings, and storytelling sessions highlighting the product’s versatility and its role in a contemporary, balanced, and accessible cuisine.
Alongside its presence at the Javits Center, the Consortium will host an exclusive off-site event: Casa Grana Padano – The Private Town House Experience, taking place on Monday, June 29, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Casa Gessi, located at 214 Lafayette Street in the heart of SoHo.
For one evening, the historic New York townhouse will become the meeting place between Grana Padano and New York—a sensory journey through food, mixology, and conviviality designed to welcome selected guests, partners, media, and stakeholders. The experience will blend iconic local flavors with an authentic Italian touch, from Katz’s Delicatessen pastrami and a signature cocktail by Employees Only to a culinary offering by GialloZafferano, featuring a special recipe celebrating Grana Padano PDO, followed by a sweet finale on the terrace with desserts created by Bilena Settepani.
The event will bring to New York a contemporary story in which Grana Padano PDO meets the city’s vibrant energy, becoming the centerpiece of a dialogue between tradition, creativity, and an international lifestyle. More than showcasing an outstanding Italian product, the experience is designed to present Grana Padano as an everyday symbol of flavor, wellness, and sharing.
