Grana Padano PDO brings authentic Italian taste to Warsaw
On 3 November, the world’s most consumed PDO cheese will be Main Sponsor of the inaugural edition of The Italian Show Warsaw, featuring tastings and meetings with professionals from Poland’s foodservice sector.
Berni: “Exports grow through product awareness. The foodservice sector is a key partner in promoting quality and helping consumers distinguish authenticity from imitations.”
Desenzano del Garda (BS), 30 October 2026 – Strengthening ties with the Polish foodservice sector and promoting the value of a designation that combines origin, tradition and certified quality. With this objective, the Grana Padano Consortium will be the Main Sponsor of the first edition of The Italian Show Warsaw, taking place on 3 November 2026 at the Warsaw Presidential Hotel.
Organised by I Love Italian Food, the event will bring together Italian producers and professionals from Poland’s Ho.Re.Ca. sector to celebrate and promote authentic Italian food and wine culture.
The participation forms part of the international development strategy of the world’s most consumed PDO cheese. In 2025, Grana Padano exported 2,757,930 wheels, an increase of 3% compared to the previous year, thanks in part to the important role played by both distribution and the foodservice sector in increasing consumer awareness of the product.
Within the Consortium’s exhibition area, visitors will have the opportunity to taste Grana Padano PDO aged over 24 months, served freshly cut from a half wheel. The tasting will offer an opportunity to appreciate the cheese’s texture, aroma and flavour, discover its versatility in the kitchen, and learn more about the guarantees provided by the Product Specification.
“The international growth of Grana Padano is driven by awareness of what makes our product unique,” said Stefano Berni, Director General of the Grana Padano Protection Consortium. “The more than 2.7 million wheels exported in 2025 are the result of trust, strong business relationships and promotional activities. The food service sector is a fundamental ally: in Warsaw, we want to help professionals recognise authentic Grana Padano and communicate its value to their customers. Our over-24-month-aged Grana Padano tells a story of flavour, time and the expertise that characterises our entire production chain.”
