Fun meets excellence

“Genuine products and healthy entertainment are fundamental allies for our well-being. This is why Grana Padano and Gardaland have come together to celebrate the importance of quality time and fun. If we combine solidarity with this synergy, then we have found a winning formula to bring a concrete and valuable contribution to the community “.

With these words, Stefano Berni, General Manager of the Grana Padano Protection Consortium, alongside Aldo Maria Vigevani, CEO of Gardaland, presented the new partnership between two Italian excellences: Grana Padano, the world’s best-selling PDO cheese, and Gardaland, the number one Amusement Park in Italy.

The event was attended by the children of one of the three Psychoeducational Residential Communities of the CAF Onlus Association of Milan, with which the Francesca Rava Foundation collaborates in the program “We are not indifferent, we make the difference”, giving health and educational support, for a day of fun offered by the Consortium and the Gardaland.

The day, which saw the presence of the media, started with the greetings of the leaders of the two companies, and then continued, in the green and relaxing Hawaii area of the Park, with a cheese-making and fire-branding of a wheel session presented by the Consortium.
At the end, a fresh lunch was served for all to enjoy.

“From today – continued Mr Berni – the goodness of Grana Padano enters the restaurants of a world that leaves everyday problems and pressures out of its gates and allows you to spend your free time in a welcoming, fun and relaxing space. Attention to people’s needs has always been part of our philosophy and with this collaboration we want to emphasise once again how important it is for us to guarantee the consumer a good, safe and certified product, thanks to a supply chain characterised by constant checks and full traceability. We want to make the consumer more and more aware of what he chooses at the restaurant, but also among the shelves of a supermarket, and initiatives like this contribute to spreading this culture that promotes well-being and quality “.

“Our mission is to offer our visitors a memorable experience – added Mr Vigevani – and every day we make sure that our guests can spend a day of pure and healthy fun together with family and friends. This obviously takes place thanks to the many proposals that Gardaland offers: from attractions suitable for all needs, to spectacular shows but also through the proposals of our restaurants; and it is precisely in this sector that the union with Grana Padano is truly precious, a partnership dedicated to excellence “.

For the entire 2019 season, Grana Padano will be present at Gardaland not only on the menus of the park’s five restaurants – Trattoria di Capitan Hook, Locanda del Corsaro, Aladino Restaurant, Gardaland Adventure Hotel and Gardaland Hotel – but also through special informative material for kids that will explain the benefits of a healthy well-being in a playful way. The claim “Fun meets excellence” will be visible on the illuminated wall at the entrance, on the billboards inside the Park, and through audio messages released before and after the shows inside Gardaland Theatre and in Piazza Ramses.

The Grana Padano Protection Consortium was created in 1954 to bring together all the producers, maturers and merchants of what is now the world’s best-selling PDO cheese. 128 dairies, 149 maturers and 205 authorised companies are members of the consortium. The Consortium is based in San Martino della Battaglia (Desenzano del Garda, Brescia), in the heart of the PDO Cheese production area: the Po Valley in Northern Italy. In 2018, 4,932,996 wheels were fire-branded, and 3,857 farms delivered 2.638.180,607 tons of milk (over 22% of the national quota) to the producing dairies. 40% of the production of Grana Padano (1,938,328 wheels with an average of 37kg) was exported abroad.
