4 slices of wholemeal bread
50 g Grana Padano PDO cheese
1/2 purple cabbage
1 tablespoon apple vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
150 g sliced turkey
salad to taste
4 pickles
For the dressing:
100 ml fresh cream
100 g grated Grana Padano PDO cheese
1 small bunch of chives

The sandwich recipe
STEP 1
For these tasty sandwiches, peel and finely chop the cabbage and transfer it to a bowl. Season it with a tablespoon of apple vinegar, the sugar and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it marinate for 1 day inside, stirring occasionally.
STEP 2
Heat the cream in a saucepan and then add the grated Grana Padano PDO. Stir well and add the chopped chives. Set aside and allow to cool.
STEP 3
Spread the Grana Padano cream on the bread slices and then lay the marinated cabbage, sliced turkey, lettuce, Grana Padano flakes and gherkins on top. Close with the other slice of bread and cut diagonally. Serve the sandwiches immediately.
