Festive bread with Grana Padano

500 g flour
150 g Grana Padano
150 g diced ham
2 eggs
200 ml milk
1 teaspoon sugar
5 g brewer’s yeast
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
extra virgin olive oil
salt
pepper

Preparation
STEP 1
In a bowl, mix the flour with an egg and half the milk at room temperature.
Dissolve the yeast in the remaining milk and add the sugar, then pour everything into the bowl and mix well.
STEP 2
Add a pinch of salt and two tablespoons of olive oil, then mix until you have a soft, smooth dough. Shape into a ball and leave to rest in a sheltered place for 1 hour.
STEP 3
Divide the dough into lots of balls about 4-5 cm in diameter, fill with ham and grated Grana Padano and lay in a round oven tray covered in baking paper.
STEP 4
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes.
Serve the festive bread as soon as it is baked, Brush the balls of dough with a beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds and poppy seeds.still piping hot.
