Berni: “Bringing Grana Padano PDO and Prosecco DOC to Taste of London means sharing an authentic part of our identity through taste.”
Desenzano del Garda (BS), 15 June 2026 – Grana Padano PDO and Prosecco DOC will once again take centre stage in London at Taste of London 2026, taking place from 17 to 21 June at Regent’s Park, as part of the European campaign “Cheers and Cheese to EU.”
One of the most anticipated events of London’s summer food calendar, Taste of London brings together restaurants, chefs, producers and leading food and drink brands for five days, offering an international showcase for the latest culinary trends and gastronomic experiences.
Participation in the event forms part of “Cheers & Cheese to EU,” a three-year information and promotion programme co-funded by the European Union and promoted by the Consorzio Tutela Grana Padano and Next Generation Pro, the association representing Prosecco DOC producers.
The programme aims to promote two outstanding protected designation products: Grana Padano PDO, the world’s most consumed PDO cheese, and Prosecco DOC, one of the most iconic Italian sparkling wines.
Throughout the event, visitors will enjoy an immersive journey into Italian agri-food excellence through tastings, masterclasses, live cooking demonstrations and interactive activities designed to highlight the quality, certified origin, versatility and heritage of both products.
Leading the programme will be chef Danilo Cortellini, presenting cooking shows and contemporary Italian recipes, alongside wine expert Neil Phillips, who will host guided tastings and masterclasses exploring pairings between different ageing profiles of Grana Padano PDO and various styles of Prosecco DOC. The programme will also feature a number of special guests from the international food and digital scene, including Nina Parker, Verna Gao, Gaetano Farucci, Stefano Di Giosia, Francesco Mattana and Angelo Coassin.
Quizzes, blind tastings, sensory challenges and engaging entertainment activities will make the experience even more interactive, offering visitors an authentic immersion into the values of Made in Italy: flavour, conviviality, tradition and innovation.
“Bringing Grana Padano PDO and Prosecco DOC to Taste of London means sharing an authentic part of our identity through taste. It is a valuable opportunity to showcase to British consumers the true value of European quality schemes: origin, traceability, quality and a strong connection to their territories,” said Stefano Berni, General Director of the Consorzio Tutela Grana Padano.
