Grana Padano PDO announces its partnership with Identità Golose, the acclaimed chefs conference bringing Michelin-starred legends from around the world to convene for two days only, October 7th and October 8th, at Eataly Chicago (43 E Ohio St., www.eataly.com).
As one of the event’s original sponsors, Grana Padano PDO is proud to continue support of Identità Golose’s commitment to Italian culinary traditions, as well as its celebration of emerging food practices and innovations. This year, the theme of Identità Golose Chicago is “Pasta and Pizza,” a celebration of two of Italy’s most iconic foods, with four Italian chefs, four American chefs, and four pizza-makers (two Italian, two American) melding cultures and presenting a mixed identity of Italian culture.
The quintessential Italian cheese and most popular in its home country, Grana Padano PDO will be prevalent throughout the Identità Golose Chicago celebrations. Chef participants will showcase the cheese in informative “Master Class” cooking demonstrations highlighting the cheese in a number of preparations.
Chef Luciano Monosilio (Pipero, Rome) will prepare a Spaghetti Monograno Felicetti with Grana Padano DOP 24 Months, Pecorino Romano Cheese and guanciale; and Chef Davide Oldani will prepare Cartoccio’ Pasta with Grana Padano PDO Riserva, fresh pepper and lemon zest, highlighting the ingredient in multiple ways showcasing Grana Padano’s versatile salty and sweet flavors, and delicious melting quality perfect for pasta and pizza dishes.
